I’ve been working (quite slowly) on learning pinstriping. I’ve always loved the art of it…and now that I’ve done some of my own I’m in awe of the guys who can just whip their brush around and get amazingly uniform, perfect lines. For those who have never tried, it truly is a skill. Below are a few of my meager attempts…but I’m getting better!

07/2011 -My first super multi-colored panel. A little busy...but pretty cool!

07/2011 - This was just a quick job...but I just knew my converse were a blank canvas!

12/09 -I've finally practiced enough to lay some lines down on my pinstriping toolbox!

Most recent peice - bottom of my skateboard. I'm particularly proud of this one because I didn't preplan or measure it out!

06/08 - The bottom of my skateboard. One of the first pieces I layed down without pre-planing or measureing it out!

My first try at taping out flames. Done on a metal panel with spray cans with striped 1-shot around the edges.

Welcome to Grease Girl!

I'm not what you would call your normal grease monkey. I prefer to keep my cuticles trimmed and fingernails red. But when I started driving my 1955 Studebaker Champion I had to get a little greasy! Seeing as I'm more or less new to all this, this blog will be the place to learn along with me. Check back often to see what adventure I'm on next...it'll be fun!
